Spend two wonderful evenings at 3 Fish Studios working with your hands and making your very own edition of prints! Sign up for one of our popular printmaking classes and let the creativity flow.
Students of all experience levels are welcome to register. All you need is a creative spark and a favorite image that you want to make an edition of prints from.
Eric will work with you to choose an image and show you how to transfer it to a sheet of artist grade linoleum. Next, he'll teach you some carving techniques, inking techniques, and how to use the 30" Conrad Machine etching press to print your very own relief prints. You can expect to complete an edition of at least 10 prints using black ink on beautiful Rives BFK paper. Eric will also introduce you to some fun techniques to use on your prints, like chine-collé - a type of printmaking collage - and watercolor.
The $100 registration fee covers everything: inks, linoleum, and enough Rives BFK paper for an edition of at least 10 prints, made by you. Carving tools will also be provided.
Class size is limited to 6 so everyone has an opportunity to use the press. Classes are normally held on Wednesday and Thursday nights, from 6 - 9, but if you have a group of 4 or more just contact us and we will make it work with your schedule.
NEW for 2013: Open Editions! Every other Thursday, we'll open the studio up for an open printmaking session where we supply the studio and the press, and you print to your hearts content from 6 - 9pm.
