Relief Printmaking - Tuesday March 3rd and 10th, 6-9pm
This printmaking class will meet twice, on Tuesday March 3rd and again on Tuesday March 10th, 6pm - 9pm at 3 Fish Studios, and will be taught by studio manager Orlie Kapitulnik.
Students of all experience levels are welcome to register. All you need is a creative spark and a favorite image that you want to make a linoleum print out of.
Over the course of two evenings, we will show you how to transfer the image to a block of linoleum, how to carve it out, demonstrate some inking techniques, and show you how to use our Conrad Machine etching press for making relief prints. You can expect to complete an edition of ten 8"x10" prints on beautiful Rives BFK paper.
Registration fee covers linoleum, inks, and enough Rives BFK paper for an edition. Carving tools will be provided for your use, too.
Class size is limited to 6 so everyone has an opportunity to use the press and experiment with different printmaking techniques. We will email registrants a few days before first class with a checklist to help prepare for a great workshop.
Please check your calendars carefully before registering. If you must cancel your place, please contact us 4 days prior to the class - we will refund your payment if we can fill your space, otherwise classes are nonrefundable.
