Nepal Fundraiser Project with Yellow Owl Workshop, Courtney Cerruti, and Rare Device

In light of the disastrous earthquake in Nepal this past April, we've teamed up with Yellow Owl Workshop and Courtney Cerruti, in association withRare Device, to host a series of workshops to help contribute funds to the people of Nepal. Eric will be selling a linocut print that he made specifically for the occasion. All of this will be taking place at our studio in the Outer Sunset throughout the day on Sunday, August 30th.

This event also has particular meaning to the us--our friend Phurba Gyalzen was born and raised in the Himalayas. When we heard news of the earthquake in April, we were very concerned for the well-being of his loved ones and the people of Nepal. We learned that Phurba's grandmother, who lives in a remote village, lost her home to the earthquake. Countless other Nepali lost their homes and loved ones, while aftershocks continued to rattle this small, poor nation for days. Nepal is no longer in the news on a daily basis, but the road to recovery is long.

All materials are included in the ticket prices for each workshop, and all the proceeds from the day will be going to Shikshya Foundation Nepal, whose mission, along with contributing toward immediate disaster relief, is to provide the best possible education to Nepal’s underprivileged youth.
