MOTHRA. What a badass bug. She looks damn good in the studio, in all her incarnations.
What's making me happy this week is the wonderful people we with work, like Mark Dwight of Rickshaw Bagworks. We had a nice visit to their Dogpatch factory yesterday and took a look at some of the new bags they're making. Our first studio was in Dogpatch, so it was nice to be back in the neighborhood.
Been having too much fun with my Paderno vegetable spiralizer. Made a pile of "potato spaghetti," tossed with some olive oil, smoked paprika, salt and pepper, and baked until a little crispy. Can use apples, butternut squash, zucchini, beets.....go spiral!
Yesterday when Jill and I were manning the studio, she casually mentioned that years ago--in this lifetime--she biked across the United States. SAY WHAT?? Jill! This is pretty much the coolest, most badass thing I have ever heard, and something I would absolutely positively LOVE to do someday. I've only just started doing longer rides--Half Moon Bay here, Point Reyes there--but sheesh, I can only dream of going coast to coast. Next time you're at the shop, pop in and if you're lucky she'll spin an awesome tale. She has lots of awesome tales. (The glamour shot below is my trusty wheels, posing in Pacifica.)
UNTIL NEXT TIME--KEEP IN TOUCH!
