Carved and printed by hand, this new print is a study of the beauty of nature, ink, and paper. The subject is an ancient Sierra Juniper, growing on an exposed, dry, rocky slope in the higher Sierra Nevada Mountain elevations just an hour from our home and studio in Amador County, California. This run is limited to an edition of 50.
The black ink impression is printed by hand from the block on a 22” x 28” hand-torn sheet of Rives BFK paper. For the color version, the ink impression overprints a color background. This color method is a technique Eric has used successfully over the years, but never to this rich of an effect.
Professional framing is now available! Your print will be float mounted, framed in walnut moulding, and glazed with plexiglass. Packaging and shipping (with tracking) is included in the purchase price. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
This is intended to be a Christmas gift so it is difficult to review at this point. I think it is beautiful as did the guy who works at the framing store where I took it to be framed.
