One of the Godzilla universe’s most unusual creatures, Biollante is a monstrous hybrid of Godzilla’s DNA, human cells, and a rose, first appearing in the 1989 film Godzilla vs. Biollante. Part plant, part beast, this extraordinary kaiju is known for its enormous, tooth-filled jaws and twisting vines. In this original woodcut, Biollante rises from the lush gardens surrounding San Francisco’s historic Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.
