Mechagodzilla — Port of Oakland
One of Godzilla’s most formidable opponents, Mechagodzilla is a giant robotic counterpart to the King of the Monsters, first introduced in the 1974 film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. Equipped with an arsenal of missiles, laser beams, and powerful mechanical weaponry, this metallic kaiju has appeared in several incarnations, sometimes as an enemy and sometimes as humanity’s defender. In this original woodcut, Mechagodzilla towers over the Port of Oakland, his mechanical form rising among the towering shipping cranes and industrial structures of San Francisco Bay.
